My name is Tai Yuen Lee and I am currently a Junior, majoring in accounting and double minoring in IDC NYC Studies and Chinese. I work as a Police Cadet for the NYPD and I hope to join the ranks of the NYPD after I graduate from Baruch College in June 2009.
In regards to experience with management, I volunteer as a coordinator in a non-profit organization and supervise over two hundred volunteers every weekend. I have been in this position for over three years. I hope what I learn in this class will aid in my current jobs and my future career in law enforcement.

Hello Tai Yuen, my family member is going to the NYPD academy too. His Chinese is not that good because he is American born. He was an accounting major as well. So good luck with everything.
I hope we can do well in this course together by helping and learning from each other.
Your fellow classmate, Joey Fong
Hey! Thanks for reading my blog! To be honest (you're going to think this is super cheesy, but here goes) I wanted to become a wedding planner because I watched Jennifer Lopez in "Wedding Planner" and I became hooked. Granted- the portrayal of a wedding coordinator is glamorized (it is Hollywood after all), but I watch a lot of wedding shows (courtesy the Style Network) and generally like weddings because they are such a lovely and happy occasion for everyone to be a part of.
In any case, that's awesome that you're an NYPD cadet. You must be really busy all the time! I can't imagine managing 200 volunteers. What kind of work do you do with them?
